Last week I said it felt like the group was a developing a rhythm. This week felt even better. It's beginning to feel like we are beginning to gel as a group.

As with last week, we'd love to start a discussion thread below for Ch 3. So if you had any questions for Michelle or me, or had any thoughts you'd like to share about the material covered, please post them below. (Click on "Register" and then "Facebook" to log on with Facebook.)

This week's topics and the video recording are below:
Michelle will discuss “What is fear?” This will include the universality of fear, how our brains react to fear, the continual effect fear has on our lives, how our brains react to fear, and the Big 4. Then there will be breakout groups where members can discuss the role fear has played in their lives and any experiences they have with the Big 4. After breakout groups, Forest will lead group members in a large group discussion where members will have a chance to share.

After group sharing, Michelle will discuss how our fear can activate the process of chronic pain and the fear-pain cycle. Michelle will also touch on how fear is not just “being afraid,” and what we can do about fear. Then there will be one more breakout group, led by Forest, where group members will have a chance to share about the Fear-Pain cycles in their lives. And Forest will lead group members in a large group discussion where members will have a chance to share.

Finally Michelle will recap today’s session and talk a little bit about what’s coming up in the next few weeks: healing and the tools to break out of the fear-pain cycle.
